VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The Suicide Prevention Council functions entirely as a volunteer organization and relies on the input of professionals, survivors of a suicide, community stakeholders and others in the community to forward their mission.

New members are always welcome- the council meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month and is continually expanding to assure adequate community representation for this important public health issue.

We have a strong desire to expand our advocacy services to survivors, and encourage survivors to be a part of our mission.

Current Volunteer Opportunities Include:

·1 Marketing

·2 Advertising

·3 Education coordinator

·4 Fundraising skills

·5 Translating our available brochures into Spanish

·6 Intermittent needs for mailings or other communications

·7 Intermittent need for computer skills

Please contact Laura Medow, Council Chair at lauramedow@earthlink.net or 574-220-6381 if interested in learning more about the council or volunteering your time.
