Alan L. Berman, Ph.D.

Executive Director of the American Association of Suicidology, past Director of the National Center for the Study of Suicide at the Washington School of Psychiatry, and a Past President of the American Association of Suicidology. He is the author/editor of 7 books and more than 90 peer-reviewed articles in Suicidology:

Workshops on "Suicide and Malpractice: Standards of Care in Working with At-risk Persons."

Frank Campbell, Ph.D., LCSW

Executive Director of the Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center. Dr. Campbell pioneered the internationally acclaimed "Active Postvention Model" (APM), designed to assist Suicide Survivors. A Past President of the American Association of Suicidology, he has contributed articles and workshops on traumatic grief and bereavement both nationally and internationally. The LOSS Team will appear in a Discovery Channel documentary this December.:

David A. Jobes, Ph.D.

Professor of Psychology (clinical faculty) at Catholic University of America, Washington DC and Past President of the American Association of Suicidology. He is a Board Certified Clinical Psychologist and consultant to the United States Air Force, the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC, and counseling centers at Johns Hopkins, Catholic University, George Washington University, and Georgetown:

Plenary Session, "Adolescent Issues in Suicide," and workshop "The Impact of Suicidal Rock Music Lyrics."

Kathryn Eva Korslund, Ph.D.

Research Scientist in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington and the Associate Director of the Behavioral Research and Therapy Clinics, Seattle, WA. She is a Co-Investigator with Marsha Linehan on several federally funded clinical research studies evaluating the efficacy of behavioral treatments for suicidal behavior, substance dependence, and borderline personality disorder. Dr. Korslund is a past recipient of the John E. Carr Award for Outstanding Achievement in Empirically Supported Psychotherapies and a Stanley Research Scholars faculty mentor award recipient. She has written several book chapters and journal articles on treatment of borderline personality disorder and has served as the content editor for a videotape series on Dialectical Behavior Therapy:

David A. Litts, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Associate Director of the Suicide Prevention Resource Center in Washington DC, a national center funded by the Department of Health and Human Services. Previously, he held posts as Special Advisor ot the Assistant Secretary for Health and the U.S. Surgeon General and as Executive Director of the Air Force's pioneering Suicide Prevention Program:

Luncheon Keynote Address, "Achieving Success in Community Suicide Prevention," and workshop on "The USAF Suicide Prevention Program: Lessons for Public Health Suicide Prevention in Non-military (normal) Communities."

John L. McIntosh, Ph.D.

Chair and Professor of the Department of Psychology at Indiana University South Bend. He has published widely on suicide, serves on editorial boards for several professional journals, and has received awards for his work on suicide. He is a Past President of the American Association of Suicidology:

Keynote Address, "Suicide: A Critical Public and Mental Health Issue," and workshop on "Suicide in Older Adults."

Jon Richard, PsyD., Prof. LLC

Clinical psychologist with Suicide Risk Response Services of Denver, Colorado, specializing in suicide risk reduction services, providing clinical care, consultation, professional and lay education, and university courses in suicidology. He works with mental health centers, professional education groups, addiction professionals, hospitals, community coalitions, and school districts:
